Cloudways provides support for platforms such as WordPress, WooCommerce, Magento, and PHP-based frameworks, along with databases using MySQL. However, Cloudways does not currently support applications based on .NET, Java, Python, or Ruby.
What versions of WordPress are available on the server?
Cloudways' hosting for WordPress supports all the latest versions on the platform. Currently, we offer WP 6.1.1. Please note that headless WordPress is not supported.
Is Cloudways a separate entity from DigitalOcean?
Yes, Cloudways is an independently managed cloud hosting platform. Cloudways is a subsidiary of DigitalOcean, but the services of the companies are separate. You can launch a managed DigitalOcean server on Cloudways, or create an unmanaged Droplet on DigitalOcean.
If I have a website running on a DigitalOcean server, will Cloudways migrate it for me?
Yes, we offer one free migration within every account. For additional migrations, we offer the Migration addon that simplifies the entire migration process. Through our managed migration service, our experts make sure that your application is moved to its new DigitalOcean VPS server without any problems.
Can i install cPanel on my DigitalOcean server?
No, with Cloudways you don't really need a cPanel as Cloudways platform offers its own frontend that simplifies server management tasks. To manage files, you can easily access your web application through SFTP or SSH ( through third-party clients such as Filezilla, PuTTY, etc.).
Can I launch multiple DigitalOcean cloud servers?
Your Cloudways account could be used to launch as many DigitalOcean servers as you require.
Can I scale my DigitalOcean server?
Yes, you can. Just go to the Vertical Scaling tab in the Server Management menu.
Do I have to pay separately for managed DigitalOcean hosting?
The pricing includes the costs of managed DigitalOcean hosting. You will not receive a separate invoice from DigitalOcean.
