Private Cloud

A private cloud (sometimes referred to as an internal or corporate cloud) is a cloud infrastructure that is provisioned exclusively for use by an individual organization. Unlike a public cloud, resources are not publicly available and therefore not shared with any other user or organization. Users of a private cloud can enjoy dedicated access, which often provides added security.

Private clouds are less widely-used than public ones (mainly because the costs can be prohibitive, particularly for small businesses), but providers like Oracle, IBM and NetApp offer private cloud services, promising added customization and security for large-scale enterprises.
While a private cloud is typically costlier than a public or hybrid cloud (where elements of both are combined), it does theoretically offer more control over your data, more customization options (since the infrastructure can be tailored to your needs) and more robust security.
Private cloud architecture is the consolidation of resources from different data centers into a single pool of resources. Organizations can design a data center using virtual machines (VMs) and software-defined networking (SDN) thanks to private cloud solutions. Private cloud solutions offer the software tools needed for intricate network orchestration on bare-metal servers, allowing businesses to independently manage data security on their own facilities.
